Estate and public-realm furniture

Site furniture is easier to manage when its materials, dimensions and details are consistent. Albion can manufacture a single item, repeat products or a coordinated package for an estate, park, school or public space.

These are typical examples rather than a fixed catalogue. Sizes, timber sections, details and components are agreed before manufacture.

Design considerations

The location affects the construction.

Exposure, ground conditions, access and intended use influence the material and detailing. These points are resolved before timber is ordered.

  1. 01Vehicle movement, pedestrian routes and visibility
  2. 02Below-ground details, removability and maintenance access
  3. 03Liner, container or component interfaces
  4. 04Quantity, repeatability and replacement strategy
  5. 05Site-wide visual consistency

Materials & construction

The material must suit the work.

Timber and construction are specified around exposure, ground contact, likely impacts and maintenance access. Exterior-grade fixings and replaceable wearing parts are used where the design calls for them.

Traditional joinery is used where it provides the right result, alongside accurate modern machining and production control. Joints, fixings and replaceable components are selected for outdoor exposure, inspection and future repair.

Quoted to specification

Price depends on the timber, dimensions, quantity, components, finish, delivery, access and installation. Albion quotes each requirement against a written scope.
